How do you guys post those great pictures?
Tried in the knives thread using postimage.org; iPhone 11 pic gorgeous but post was weird and out of focus. Looked at imgur but they wanted cell number which I am reluctant to provide. Thanks much.

Create an account at Imgur.com. Then use the mobile app from the app store if you want to use the iPhone. No phone number needed to do it that way.
Alternatively, after creating your Imgur account, just use Safari on the iPhone navigate to the image in Imgur that you want to post here, copy the BBCode and paste it into your post.
Sounds more complicated than it really is.
ETA: If you use Safari on the iPhone, log into the site, and use the Enhanced Mobile View (default unless you changed it): to post a pic, look in the top upper right corner of your screen (that you are starting a new thread), and click on the paperclip icon, that will then direct you to your iPhone camera roll, you select the image you want to upload and it will upload the picture as an attachment to thread you create. It's pretty simple and doesn't require any 3rd party software.

You can also add them from your phone directly to the post through the forum software. Uploads the pics to the forum.
I personally use Flickr for my photos. Bit more complicated b/c they don't like people hotlinking, so that means you have to do a few more steps to get the pics from there.

Like this. paper clip. browse button, for find the picture you want to post in that mess of a filing system you have on your hard drive. select the open button for the picture you want to put in your post then push the upload button and wait if you have a slow connection.

I have an area on my web site for photos that are not going on any of the web pages but that I want to post on a site like this one. Then I use the image icon and fill in the address. I don't have to worry about them expiring and my web site is already paid for.
