Problems with links

Hello,

I am having problems with external links. When I click on them I get routed to a Sigtalk thread link and not the external link.

For example, in the thread below someone posted a link to an MPX manual. When I hover on the link I see it says the URL is www.ls1.com/mpx.pdf, however when I clink on the link it opens a new tab with the URL http://sigtalk.com/new-users/65113-n...tml#post796537

Help please. Is there a setting a need to check? It only happens on Sigtalk.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It's you. The link www.ls1.com/mpx.pdf takes me to the manual.

It does for me, too. The link on the page you're taken to opens the manual for me, as well.

Hmmmm. So if I click on the www.ls1.com/mpx.pdf link in Flash LB's post a new tab opens with the above URL in the tab, but the thread URL in the address bar and a blank screen. See screen clip below. DOes it in both Firefox 47.0 and Chrome current version.

any ad blockers on at all? high security settings on the back end that may be blocking the viewing of the file?

None. It only happens on SigTalk. Another forum I frequent often (Calguns.net) also runs Vbulletin (v 3.8.9) and I have no problem with links there.

I figured out the issue so I thought I would post here in case anyone else encounters it.

I right clicked and copied the link, then pasted into address bar of browser. I noticed that the address was extremely long and started with vigilink. I searched vigivlink and went to their site. Somehow vigilink was enabled. I clicked the opt-out link and all is good now.

Opt Out of VigLink
