Signing in was weird

I've been a member for quite some time now and I've never logged out if my account. I was just prompted to do so and thought it was a little weird, I also had to sign in like 3 times until it really "signed" me in.

if you changed browser or hadn't been here for a while a password change was required a while back.

That's ehat is weird I usually hop on to browse at least once every 2-3 days and changed my password when required a few weeks ago.

No browser change either.

I had to log in last night on my desktop and again this morning with my iPad. Both times I then got that pop up message about the password reset.

Same here, had to log in last night and this morning again. I always choose remember me but still made me do it. Something fishy seems to be going on again.

I'm another one who had to log in with a "newly issued" password after a reset. Yesterday and today as well. Changed the password as required several weeks ago and always select the "remember me" function.

I entered the password that was sent, logged in & went to the User CP and changed the password again to one of my choosing.

I understand the reason for the reset a few weeks ago, but this recent circle jerk the past two days has me wondering if participation in this forum is worth my time.

Yes I know; anything "free" is worth what you paid for it.

If you've already changed your passwords, and they meet the current needs....click through. You should be able to log all the way in with that password, regardless of the message. My guess is that they reset something at the server end, and everyone's "remember me" got erased. A one time inconvenience, at worst, IMHO.

The remember me and whatever its related cookie functionality dont appear to be working as they did before the changes. My password is not retained no matter if I check the box or not.
Only website I am having this issue with.

Your password should be retained by your browser, not the site. Cookies are what recognizes your computer and logs you in automatically. Clear your cookies and cache, and log in again.

Hey guys,

As mentioned above, try clearing your cache and cookies, and please let us know if that helps clear things up.
If not, please let me know which devices and browsers you are using.

Thanks!

Richard.

As of the last two logins, looks like things are working as they should related to respecting my cookies (just cause it was fun to put that way). Did not clear cache as no other sites were having this issue, so looks like last whammy worked.

Thanks for the follow-up.

Back to normal since Aug. 5th. Just ignored the message to reset & signed on with my latest password.
