It happened to me last night, never could get a new p/w. I finally gave up and registered with a new name, thus gunpoor28 opposed to my old TNMX5. I'm just gonna live with it for now.

I had to reset yesterday as well. It took me 10 minutes to get back on, as I couldn't recall my old password, and then when resetting my computer locked up and I had to reboot.

It was worth it though - the information and people here are priceless.

I am frustrated and not happy with this site. I have attempted to reset my password multiple times over the last 3 days and never received a password reset email. I've also sent emails to the administrator and never received a response back. The responses are not in my Spam folder. I also HATE the FULL VOLUME Progressive ad that I am forced to listen to in order to get the code required to request a password reset. I had to re-register with a different userid and email address in order to even communicate with this site. I have been a relatively long term member/contributor here and am seriously considering leaving.

I would just like to be able to access my former account,

Those of you who created new accounts, PM me with your old account name, the password you'd like to use (make sure it meets the current requirements), and your email address.

I can merge your current (new) account into your old, existing account; and update your passwords and email addresses for you at the same time. This way, you'll be able to use your old account again, and all your posts under your 'new' one will be changed to your old account.

Yes this. Password retention does not seem to be reliable accross sessions. As if cookie is not being set.

I've heard on other forums that clearing your cookies can fix the problem with login retention over sessions.

Yes, I recommend this on another forum I moderate on. Most times it fixes any issues.

I have my browser (Firefox) set to clear all cookies when I close out of it.

getting the same thing .. Clearing cookies not helping .. some kind of long running script that won't stop ..

Won't let you reset your pass word tells you to notify management ..

And management doesn't seem to be around unless you write a bad word ..

can you get a screenshot of what shows up?

If it is the pop up, you can just close it by clicking the X and that usually solves it.
let me know.

Just FYI, if you clear cookies (hey...are you saying I'm fat), it will require you login in again as that cookie contains your encrypted login info. If they get corrupt, clearing and logging back in again can set it straight.

In the case of the sight, it appears to have been a couple refreshes on the TPA side. My cookies are working again and am logged in when I enter the site.

Appreciate the admins attention to this.

I still get the message every time I log in. I clear my search history and cookies every night so I log in everyday and always get the message. I just click the x in the corner and go on.
