X6 Safety Lever Problem

Hello all
I bought a x6 black and white Skeletonized super match from Mmbi this past winter. Now that I’v been taking it to shoots i have noticed the safety lever is very finicky. It has to be at the right spot or the safety does not work and if you pull the trigger it will fire with the safety on. I took it apart looking for something broken but everything is fine. The only thing I’v found is the trigger rod catch is not that long and engaging the safety catch on the level. If the safety level is a 100% up it will work but it’s only 98% up it won’t catch. It the difference of a couple of thousands we’re talking about. Has anyone Else had this problem. And where would you ship it to for warranty. And Hopefully not Germany.

Mine does not do that. I can position the safety at less than 100% if I try real hard but the safety works. Mine (have not opened it up to see) feels like the safety is dropping into a detint and there is a very pronounced click.

Sig's maintenance program mentions the 226 X5/X6 All Around and tactical models in places and then excludes some models in other work areas. I would call Sig for a start.

Sorry for your safety issues! My Supermatch safety clicks in like RoyConley mentions, no issues. What does Margie say at MMBI about it? Good USA gunsmiths like Gerry Ritacco in Virginia, or Robert Burke may be able to assist. These fellows are prominent Sig smiths. Hope you get to enjoy your Supermatch soon.

Interesting for I have a similar issue with my X-Short Supermatch - trigger will fire when the safety is on. I'll have look at it again to see if it's the same as yours, i.e., 98% vs. 100%.

The safety doesn't feel as crisp as one on a new 226 Legion lower that I just recently bought.

Figure the X-Short will be making a trip down to see Mr. Burke soon.
